This post brought to you by Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am curious as to how other people that have been married a while and have kids, money issues, dirty houses, pets, homework, and cooking detail (just throwing out a few perks of marriage here. Pardon my sarcasm) handle romance.
Let me be more specific.
Do you and your significant other even try to be romantic anymore?
(Now, please note, I am not speaking to newlyweds here, but rather, old married folk. Like me.)
But speaking of newlyweds, a honeymoon of sorts sounds like a perfect way, perhaps one of the best ways I know of, to rekindle those flames of love. I mean trying to muster up the energy to be romantic is tough when kids are whining about needing food. And it gets tougher when there are nasty bed bugs daring you to wash the sheets. Or how about when one of your 'pride and joy' gets up in the middle of the night with an upset stomach? Yes, romance is usually the very last thing on my mind inside the confines of our home.
However, that could all change with a 'get- out- of- the -house- for- a -vacation- sans- kids' card. A romantic getaway for two where we could sleep, eat, and play where and how we wanted to. Something like what Branson is offering couples, for example.
How nice does this sound? (Please ignore the drool)
A Valentine's Day getaway for two-- far away from kids, pets and dirty dishes (Branson, Missouri to be exact!)
Early check in (the earlier the better if you ask me. just saying) and pre-registration if requested.
A beautiful room (with kid-free sheets) and in room sparkling wine or cider welcoming you
Full American breakfast in bed with no crumb snatchers about. And no cartoons. (to be clear, I am talking kids here, not husbands, though I know these things can apply to both in some cases.)
Working out and feeling young and healthy again in a real health club. Then lounging about by the pool and maybe indulging in a whirl pool spa.
What about finishing such an incredible day with a piece of ASKINOSIE CHOCOLATE BUTTER CAKE that you do not have to share??
How about getting a second entree free when you buy one at a designated restaurant should you stay more than one night?
And a late checkout if requested (who would not request a late check out? the later the better. just saying.)
Sound glorious? Are you grinning from ear to ear (or am I alone in this?) These are just some of the wonderful things being offered in the Romance Package being offered by both the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing, and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. Did I mention this package is good for all of February?
Now we are talking romance. (Or at least the very distinct possibility of romance.)
