Aw...how sad. The Mister Rodger's Neighborhood show has been seen everyday on PBS for the last 40 years. There was always something so comforting and reassuring when Mister Roberts spoke in his calm low-keyed voice, and switched shoes and sweaters while talking to his kid-sized tv audience. Fred Rogers was all about learning, sharing and friendship. All good stuff.
I must admit that my kids have never really watched Mister Rodgers much, even though I would try to get them to. But I am still sad to see the show go, although it won't be gone completely--there will still be an episode shown every weekend.
